For a few weeks our client Ramesh was searching for a place to get a quality window tint, and thankfully he finally found our shop. He tinted his Volkswagen Passat to reject the heat from the inside so his kids could sleep, as they were complaining about the car being too hot. He wisely chose a very dark and smoky window tint shade to complement the silver-colored paint on the large family car. The Passat is favored by American families for its affordability, and balance of ample cargo space, comfortable riding conditions, and high-level interior amenities. Volkswagen seems to test new gadgets on the Passat, such as bluetooth integration with the 2010 model, or a standard 12-way adjustable power driver’s seat in 2008.
Clearly Ramesh thought deeply about which type of car to haul his growing family around in. One thing about the Passat wagon: it has large, deep windows. It does not seem possible for Passat passengers to feel claustrophobic while inside. It’s nice for the driver and passengers, but not so much if your aim is to block the sun’s bad ultraviolet (UV) rays, to keep the interior cooler, and to provide more privacy. Let’s take a look at how the Window Tintz team fared.
Another Happy Customer
Ramesh recently gave us a call to thank us for the service — and to let us know his kids can now sleep without all that heat entering the car.
Ramesh went with a very deep and dark window tint shade and color for the side windows — the ones most likely to allow sunlight and sunshine on his young passengers seated in back. Good news for those with big families and trying to stretch the dollar: tinting windows helps reduce energy consumption because the tinting keeps the car’s insides cooler, so the air conditioning has to be called upon less.
A very dark shade also was selected for the rear window, really bolstering privacy for the car’s passengers as the photo below indicates. The complete darkness of the side windows supports the report by Ramesh that his kids sleep fine now while in the Passat.
The Window Tintz team is meticulous when it comes to delivering a final product, often going over details time and again. With more than 10 years of experience in the window tinting industry, our team members are trained and skilled to install the vinyl shading properly so the tint will last as long as possible.
Fine details such as de-bubbling, and heat drying, are done carefully to ensure proper fit and adhesion. Window Tintz uses top-quality vinyl films such as those provided my LLumar, and we back our work with a lifetime warranty.
These side shots paint a good picture about how the tinted windows would shade the people inside from the sun. Notice how the light really reflects strongly off completed tinted windows — adding further “bling” to the shininess of the car’s paint job.
